According to statistics most of the ATM robberies take place between 8pm and 4am. It is easier for thieves to rob those who travel alone at the middle of the night with cash in their hands. Therefore it is better not to use ATMs late at night.



Avoid Being Alone



If a transaction at the middle of the night is absolutely necessary make sure not to go alone. It is nearly impossible to defend thieves alone especially if they are armed. Criminals tend to target those who are alone. So take someone with you if you go to an ATM to withdraw money at night.



Keep an Eye on the Surrounding
